Before the laser hair removal session
Stop waxing
Stop all hair removal methods (shaving, waxing, depilatory cream) between 4 and 6 weeks before the first session.
Shave 24 to 48 hours before
Shave the areas to be depilated 24-48 hours in advance. Prefer electric shaving or clippers. No depilatory cream. You should also shave the areas several times between sessions.
Bikini area ?
You can shave to the desired pattern during the laser hair removal session. Always prefer electric shaving or clippers.
Neck area?
If the hair removal is at the nape of your neck, visit your hairdresser to have the line drawn for your laser hair removal sessions.
The day of the session
On the day of your waxing session, don’t apply body cream or skincare products, and avoid deodorant.
Ideally, your hairs should be no longer than 1mm.
For the face area, be careful not to use exfoliating or photosensitizing cosmetics or skin care products.
Avoid using body cream or deodorant.
Bristles must be no longer than 1mm.

- You are taking photo-sensitizing medication. Ask your doctor if in doubt.
- You are pregnant or breast-feeding
- You are taking medication (antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, etc.) that could be photo-sensitizing.
- You haven’t reached adulthood. This is not a strict contraindication, but you should be aware that hormonal changes are still present at this stage.

How many sessions are required?
The number of laser hair removal sessions required to achieve optimal results can vary according to several factors, including hair color and skin type.
Dark hairs
In general, for dark hair, 4 to 6 sessions are required to remove 90% of the hair.
Sessions are generally spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart to allow the hair to grow back into its active growth phase, when it is most sensitive to laser treatment.
Dark hairs, whether black or dark brown, are the most receptive to laser hair removal.
The laser targets melanin, the pigment that gives hair its color. The more melanin there is, the more effective the treatment.
Light chestnut and brown hair
On average, 6 to 8 sessions are required to achieve satisfactory results.
As with dark hair, sessions should be spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Our personalized assessment will enable us to adjust the treatment according to the density and color of your hair.
For light brown hair, the number of sessions required may be slightly higher than for dark hair.
This is due to a lower concentration of melanin, making the treatment slightly less effective.
Very strong pilosity
For these cases, between 8 and 10 sessions are often required.
What’s more, careful monitoring and personalized adjustments are essential to ensure the effectiveness and safety of treatment.
People with darker skin or very heavy hair growth may require more sessions to achieve the desired results.
Darker skin contains more melanin, which can make treatment more complex and requires the use of specific lasers to avoid any risk of burning or depigmentation.
