Hyaluronic acid can be used to improve the appearance of scars: acne, surgical or traumatic. During the session, we inject it directly into the scar to smooth and soften the skin’s texture. Hyaluronic acid offers a wide range of results! It hydrates the skin, promotes collagen production and improves the overall appearance of the scar. However, hyaluronic acid does not completely eliminate scars, especially deep or hypertrophic ones. In some cases, other treatments, such as lasers, chemical peels or surgical techniques, may be preferred to treat larger scars.

There are several types of hyaluronic acid, and they all have different shelf lives. The effects of some products can last from a few months to around a year, while others can last longer, up to 18 months or more. A product based on cross-linked hyaluronic acid molecules generally lasts longer than one based on non-cross-linked molecules. The duration of results also varies according to the area treated during the session. Areas of the face with greater muscular mobility, such as lips or expression lines, may have a shorter lifespan in your body than less mobile areas, such as cheekbones or the hollows of dark circles. Finally, each person reacts differently to hyaluronic acid injections due to factors such as metabolism, skin quality and lifestyle. Some people have a body that metabolizes hyaluronic acid more quickly, which can reduce the duration of the result.

Certain hyaluronic acids, such as Redensity II from the Teoxane laboratory, have been developed specifically for the treatment of dark circles. Thanks to the latest generation of resorbable fillers, it’s possible to combat dark circles and achieve a more youthful, rested appearance.
