Before the operation
An initial consultation with your cosmetic surgeon specializing in liposuction is essential to assess your expectations and ensure that you are a good candidate for treatment.
At the end of this consultation, you will receive a precise estimate for your procedure, based on its duration and the number of areas to be treated.
During the operation
Liposuction, performed by a cosmetic surgeon, involves inserting small hollow cannulas through small incisions in the area to be treated. The cannulas are connected to a suction device that sucks up and removes excess fat in a precise, controlled manner.
Depending on the extent of the procedure, it may be performed under local anaesthetic or sedation.
After the operation
It will be important to wear a girdle to minimize post-operative complications that may arise. The girdle will also stimulate the tissues to cooperate and drain fluids related to the procedure performed.
There may be areas of hematoma and edema in the treated tissue, which will disappear within a few weeks.
To eliminate adhesions and harmonize the aesthetic result of liposuction, your surgeon will certainly suggest a few sessions of LPG Endermologie (mechanized lymphatic drainage).
Deadlines and results
The final result can be appreciated around 3-6 months after the operation.
