Stem cell injections

We often talk about the stem cells found in the umbilical cord, but stem cells are also found in other body tissues, even in adults. They play an essential role in tissue regeneration and repair. In aesthetics, stem cells extracted from adipose tissue by means of liposuction are mainly used.

Infection: Rigorous aseptic practices must be followed during stem cell harvesting and injection procedures to avoid infection. Poor differentiation: In some cases, stem cells may differentiate inappropriately, producing unwanted or non-functional cell types. In rare cases, stem cells may undergo genetic mutations or develop uncontrolled proliferation, leading to the formation of tumors or abnormal tissue. Risks inherent in the injection procedure, such as bleeding, vascular lesions, infections or allergic reactions to the local anesthetics used. Injection of large quantities of stem cells may result in local adverse effects such as hematoma, pain, swelling or irritation at the injection site.
