PRP injection for hair

Platelet-Rich Plasma promotes tissue regeneration

What is PRP injection?

PRP treatment is a plasma-based preparation (the liquid component of blood) enriched with a high concentration of platelets (small elements involved in coagulation).

We use only the patient’s own blood, collected during a simple blood test. Plasma contains nutrients that stimulate the natural rejuvenation of skin tissue.

PRP is a biorevitalization treatment involving micro-injections into the deep layers of the dermis.

Although a single session may already offer the first signs of improvement, several sessions are generally recommended.

It uses the body’s healing capacities to boost the secretion of growth stimulators involved in tissue regeneration.

Its benefits are manifold. Growth stimulators restore tissue density. Stem cells contained in plasma promote the renewal of skin structures.

PRP injections are intended to :

  • An even complexion
  • A “healthy glow” effect
  • Fewer fine lines
  • Reshaping the contours of the face

It’s also an excellent treatment for dark circles.

Please note that PRP is a medical treatment that may involve risks and contraindications. Your Entourage doctor will explain the benefits you can expect from this treatment during an initial consultation.

Injecting PRP into the hair

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is an innovative technique used to treat various hair problems, including hair loss. This method uses your blood plasma, rich in platelets and growth factors, to stimulate hair follicle regeneration, reproduce healing mechanisms and improve the quality of your hair.

Advantages of PRP hair

  • Growth stimulation: The growth factors present in PRP can energize hair follicle cells and encourage new hair growth.
  • Improved thickness and density: PRP can improve the texture and density of existing hair.
  • Reduced hair loss: By strengthening hair follicles, PRP can help reduce hair loss.
  • A natural, safe method: Since PRP uses the patient’s own blood, the risk of allergic reactions or rejection is minimal.

Results and maintenance

The results of PRP vary from one individual to another. You can generally see improvements as early as a few months after the first injections.

An injection session can also :

  • accelerate healing of damaged tissue by stimulating local stem cells. In this way, it helps reduce inflammation and limit bleeding.
  • minimize post-treatment pain by promoting faster healing.

However, several sessions (usually three to six) spaced a few weeks apart may be necessary for optimum results. A maintenance session is often recommended every six to twelve months to maintain the benefits obtained.

Procedure

  1. Blood sampling: A small quantity of blood is drawn from the patient.
  2. Centrifugation: The collected blood is placed in a centrifuge, which separates the platelet-rich plasma from the other blood components. This process is essential to stimulate healing and minimize pain after injection.
  3. Injecting PRP: Platelet-rich plasma is then injected into the scalp in the areas generally affected by baldness or loss of hair density.

Our advice

  1. Immediately after treatment
Do not touch scalp, do not wash hair for 24-48 hours
  2. The first few days
Avoid hair products (gels, sprays or chemicals), no strenuous exercise (avoid excessive sweating).

Who is PRP Hair intended for?

Hair PRP can benefit men and women suffering from various types of hair loss.

Androgenetic alopecia

  • Male pattern baldness: Also known as male pattern baldness, this form of alopecia is mainly due to genetic and hormonal factors. It often manifests itself as a receding hairline and thinning at the crown.
  • Female pattern baldness: This form of hair loss, although less common in women, is characterized by diffuse thinning of the hair at the top of the scalp, while maintaining the hairline.

Alopecia areata

  • This autoimmune condition causes patchy hair loss, which can affect any area covered with hair. PRP injections can stimulate hair follicles and encourage hair regrowth in affected areas.

Hair loss :

  • Stress: Acute or chronic stress can lead to temporary hair loss. PRP can help revitalize hair follicles affected by stress.
  • Hormonal imbalances: Conditions such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, or post-partum hormonal fluctuations can lead to hair loss. PRP can support hair regeneration by improving the health of hair follicles.

Post-operative

  • After surgery or hair transplants, PRP can promote better healing and stimulate hair regrowth in treated areas.
